It may not be the end of blogging

To be honest, I hate blogging in English. I need to transform my Chinese mind to English mind so I can manage blogging. Also, I do not have the passion to post long blog which may remind me of writing essay XP
Ok, be serious.
Blogging experience is very unique. Although blogging is similar with writing diary, it needs to have concentration. I can have an idea flood in my diary. However, blogging needs to focus on one topic. Otherwise my audience will feel confused about my post and may lose interest to read it. Thus, I need to edit it several times to make sure my readers did not miss my main points. This is valuable writing experience.

Online privacy and identity is my major concern of online activities. Use a created identity means we do not want others notice our real identity but we do want show who we are as well. It is a dilemma for me. This year, privacy has became a major issue. Facebook introduced Timeline function and Google changed its privacy policy. Recently, basic information including home address and contact number of a mainland student, who discriminated Hong Kong people, is posted online. How to protect your online identity from real identity is very crucial. Additional, how to react with online friends is a big problem. Even though I discussed this issue in another angle, I am eager to know your opinion of online identity.

Gangnam style

I cannot wait to share all these new versions basing on Gangnam style--- the current hottest video.

People all around the world are crazy about it and make their own styles to post online.

You can see Red army style, Shanghai style, London style, Japan style, anti-national education style and even digital game style. 

Maybe the motivation of peer production is--- we want to be a unique part of a group. It is a struggle between"individual and collective". To be an outsider means we will be regarded as a weirdo. But we also want to use our creativity to show "I am extraordinary". 

I am looking forward to CityU Style. Now, we just enjoy all these styles. Come on!!!

E-Identity

“Who am I “ is one of the most complicated question that will drive human being crazy. Name, is the tag of us basically. In Japanese mythology, a name has magic power and meaning behind. When someone knows your name, he/she/it will figure out your weakness and can even control you. However, these things can hardly happen in modern world because we have too many online names and identities.

Take myself as an example.
In Renren (Chinese version FB), I am keen to discuss current political issues, conflicts between mainland and local people and etc. I will upload articles frequently and try to show my critical thinking.
In Facebook, I will post the funny things of my daily life. I want to share all interesting or ironic stories and pictures. Facebook is a place for cool guy.
In youtube, I will leave comment for my favorite TV shows and movie trailers. I love to exchange opinions with others to find more background information about those videos. I want to show that I am a visual art fan.
In BBS, I am excited to exchange gossips with online friends. We also have our special formula for communication-- the “online outburst” (Paoxiao Ti). All the group members should use “!!!!!” like “XXX has a chaotic personal life!!!!!”. “!!!!” is a symbol of our collective identity.

If you know Vanessa only from one online platform, you can hardly figure out I have another online characteristics. I choose to show various aspects of myself because the features of different online platforms. In fact, the same thing will happen in my daily life as well. I have an intension to show specific personality to some people like most of the common people will do. Having several identities is not weird. The horrible thing for E-ID is, however, you can make up an identity which does not belong to you. Actually, Hannibal can be a nice and helpful doctor online!!!!

When I see Iphone 5, I want to sing an old song.
“Apple empire is falling down, falling down, falling down.”

“You innovate or die” does not suit for this era anymore.
The new slogan for e-generation is “You innovate a bit or die”.
Without Jobs, Apple lacks of courage and creativity to surprise its customers.
Without cooperation with Google, Apple map sucks.

Thinner and longer display, better camera and diamond-cut edge.
All these new features mean nothing for a new tech lover.
Siri maybe “stupid” and “problematic” but it is bravo.
The appearance of Siri changes the communication way between smart phone and human being while these new designs make Iphone more beautiful.
Iphone becomes a symbol of fashion instead of creativity.
Instead of appreciating the new Iphone, people around the world make jokes of it.
I feel sad for Apple.
Apple inc. needs revolution. Otherwise, it will be beaten by Samsung, Nokia or any other mobile companies soon.

New Amazon Kindle can read in dark. That is what we can call new innovative features.
Apple designer, it is your turn to follow other companies now. As an Apple lover, I wish this company will survive forever.

Smartphone and internet are two key elements of my life. The EID is part of me now. Therefore, I am aware of my posts--- to convey the right image to my audience.
